Frequently Asked

Why was the Book of Enoch removed from the Bible?
The Book of Enoch was widely read by early Christians and is quoted directly in the New Testament (Jude 1:14-15). It was excluded during the canonization councils of the 4th century, likely because its detailed accounts of fallen angels and divine judgment were considered too controversial. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church never removed it — they preserved all 81 books of their canon for nearly 2,000 years.
What's in the Ethiopian Bible that isn't in mine?
The Ethiopian Bible contains 81 books — 15 more than the Protestant Bible (66 books) and 8 more than the Catholic Bible (73 books). The additional books include Jubilees, 1 Enoch, the Ascension of Isaiah, 4 Baruch, and the three books of Meqabyan — which exist in no other Bible tradition on Earth.
Which translation do you use?
The Book of Enoch uses the R.H. Charles 1917 translation — the standard scholarly edition used by universities worldwide. The Ethiopian Bible uses the King James Version for the 66 canonical books, the KJV Apocrypha for the Deuterocanonical books, and respected academic translations for the uniquely Ethiopian texts.
What's the difference between paperback and hardcover?
Paperbacks are printed on white paper with a glossy cover — great for reading and studying. Our premium hardcovers (via Lulu) use cream-colored paper, a matte-finish case wrap binding, and heavier stock — designed to look and feel like a Bible you'd keep for decades. Amazon hardcovers use a case laminate finish with cream paper.
Why is the Ethiopian Bible split into 4 volumes?
At 2,412 pages, the complete Ethiopian Bible is too large for a single printed book. We split it into four logical volumes: The Law & History (Genesis–2 Kings), Chronicles, Poetry & Prophecy (1 Chronicles–Daniel), Minor Prophets, Deuterocanon & Ethiopian Scriptures (Hosea–Josippon), and The New Testament (Matthew–Revelation). The PDF and Kindle editions contain the complete text in one file.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Amazon paperbacks ship worldwide through Amazon's global network. Lulu hardcovers also ship internationally. PDF editions are available instantly — no shipping required.
